Communicate on Your Tasks with Comments and Notes
TeamGantt does more than just project scheduling. It’s a collaborative platform that allows you to keep all your files and conversations in one place, right where you need them.
Comments can be accessed by clicking the comment bubble next to the project title or task name or by double-clicking a task bar in the gantt chart to open the task detail window.

Leveraging comments
Comments are user-specific and can be used to keep relevant task, group, and project-related communications easily accessible and in one place.
Notifying your team
Comments work best when others know you left it there. Here's how to notify your team when adding a comment:
- To notify all project participants, begin your comment with @project.
- To notify only users assigned to the task, begin your comment with @assigned.
- To notify a specific team member, select the user's name from the Want to notify anyone drop-down list, or begin your comment with @username. You can notify as many or as few people as you need!
Uploading files
You can also upload documents directly to task, group, and project-level comments. TeamGantt supports version control, so it's easy to update the latest version of any document.
For more information about uploading files, see Upload and Delete Files.
Reacting to comments
You can now react to comments. To react to a comment, hover over the comment, then click the smiley face icon in the top right. From there, you can select which reaction you would like to leave.
Leveraging notes
Each task contains a single sticky note that can be used for general project highlights. You could use this feature to outline high-level notes on project scope or to share the URL to an important project file, such as a link to a Google Doc or DropBox file. The note is "pinned" to the top of each comment thread and can be edited by any user.
How to Use Note Templates
We now support creating templates for your notes. To create a template from the note section, click on the insert template icon and select Add Template. This will bring you to the Template page, where you can create and manage your templates. You can also access the Template page by going to Account Settings > Manage note templates. Just to note, you will need to be listed as an Account Admin to create and manage templates.
Once you are on the Template page, you can click on Add Template to create a new template.
The template window will appear. You will name the template, choose to make the template public or private, and create the template. Then, simply click Save.
Inserting a Note Template
To insert a Note Template, simply click the template icon. Then, select the template you would like to insert and click "Insert into note".
Managing Templates
You can manage your templates by going to Account Settings > Manage note templates.
If you click the triple-dot icon on the far right, you can choose to edit, duplicate, or delete a template.
