Cost-Loaded Scheduling can help you determine the cumulative cash flow in a given period of time, and how it changes as the project schedule changes.
How to enter the cost for a task
To enable the Cost column, you can go to View > Columns > Show cost column.
To enter the cost for a task, simply click into the Cost column to enter the amount budgeted for the task. Currency will be displayed based on your location.
Once you have entered the cost for your tasks, you can view the total cost per month by clicking the Cost tab at the bottom of the Gantt chart.
In the Cost tab, you can view the cost totals for projects that are open in the Gantt view, as well as the total costs for all active company projects. At this time, costs can only be shown per month.
As you update your tasks in your schedule, the changes will appear in real-time in the Cost tab.
