Lookaheads (Available on the Construction Edition)

A lookahead schedule is a vital tool in construction project management, focusing on detailed planning for the immediate future, typically covering periods ranging from two to six weeks. Its primary purpose is to bridge the gap between the overarching project schedule and daily crew activities, ensuring that upcoming tasks are clearly defined, resources are appropriately allocated, and potential obstacles are identified and addressed promptly.

How to use a Lookahead

To use a Lookahead, you can select a duration and a start date to base the Lookahead on. Only tasks that start, end, or cross that period are shown; all other tasks are filtered out. You can also use filters to narrow the list down further.

  • If you click on a date before selecting a duration, the first duration (2 weeks) will automatically be selected.
  • If you click on a duration before selecting a date, the current date will automatically be selected.

You can click the "x" to clear the Lookahead from your board.
